There are 4 steps involved: action - trigger - release - repeat
We get exposed (naturally) to situations that trigger us such as:
Etc. you get the idea
That situation awakens ‘unresolved’ sensations.
Sensations are important, both negative and positive. Without this data you will not be able to survive. Think of them as our internal traffic lights to help us navigate our situation. Just like leaving your hand on a stove gives you info that it would be a good idea to remove it from the fire.
When we get triggered, it brings these sensations up to the surface and makes it easier for us release them. In this case, getting triggered is a good thing as it allows more and more of it to get flushed out after letting them run their course and disappear.
